Penn State and Toftrees Wedding, State College, PA – Wedding Photos August 13, 2011 I first met Sara and Todd at an event, approximately 2 years ago at an event in New York City called Cupcake Takes the 5th. The photo I took of them was featured on a website called Guestofaguest.com. I’ve taken thousands upon thousands of photos since and that photo still remains one of my favorites and Sara’s as well. As a result, we’ve become very good friends. Today, I had the privilege of photographing her wedding at State College, Pennsylvania. Penn State, where both Sara and Todd met, is a beautiful campus with unique features like the Old Main Building and the Alumni Center nestled next door. They held their ceremony at the Eisenhower Chapel in the late afternoon. Following the ceremony we went around campus for a little photo shoot of all the unique and infamous spots which included the Nittany Lion Shrine. I didn’t realize how popular the lion was until we arrived at the shrine and saw a line of at least 20 deep, all trying to take a picture with the shrine. Luckily the people in line were kind enough to let us skip the line and get our shots quickly before moving on to their reception at Toftrees Golf Resort. At Toftrees, Sara and Todd had a CandyLand Theme. Their over-the-top Candyland themed cake by the very talented Kim Morrison, was the coolest I’ve ever seen. An assortment of Sara and Todd’s favorite candies were found in bowls and vases on all the guest tables as well as a candy favor buffet. With the sugar overload, everyone danced the night away. I even got into a shot. Enjoy and Congrats again to Sara and Todd!
