A Blooming Romance: John & Stef’s Engagement at the New York Botanical Garden
There’s something truly magical about the New York Botanical Garden. Its sprawling landscapes, vibrant floral displays, and serene pathways offer an escape from the city hustle, transforming it into a fairytale setting. It was the perfect backdrop for John and Stef’s engagement photoshoot, a session filled with laughter, love, and the breathtaking beauty of nature.

New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) is easily one of the most romantic spots in the city—especially if you caught the late afternoon light or some of the seasonal blooms.
Whether you were in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory with all that Victorian glass or wandering through the Stone Mill area, the backdrops there are world-class.

Why NYBG is a Great Choice:
- The Variety: You can go from a tropical rainforest vibe to a formal rose garden in a ten-minute walk.
- The Light: The open landscapes allow for beautiful “golden hour” shots that you just can’t get between skyscrapers downtown.
- The Timelessness: Photos there tend to look classic and elegant, perfect for “Save the Date” cards.

One of my favorite shots from the day was near the lily ponds, where the reflections of the sky and surrounding greenery created a stunning mirror effect. John and Stef stood hand-in-hand, their silhouettes framed by the tranquil water and lush foliage. It was a moment of quiet intimacy, perfectly captured.
