The JW Marriott Essex House New York City and I were meant for each other. After-all… it’s initialed after me. Nestled in front of New York City’s Central Park, this luxurious hotel was the setting for Erica and Lee’s ultra-chic wedding. Erica and Lee are one of the most photogenic couples I’ve met which was clearly evident since our engagement session earlier in the year.(You can see it here if you’ve missed it).

Gatsby Inspired Wedding
Their wedding had a little bit of everything. From a photo bomb by NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman to a bridal boudoir shoot which is the current rave that is going on. Erica’s fairytale dream wedding finally became a reality. The gorgeous floral arrangements by Limelight Floral Design to Erica’s wedding dress by Maggie Sottero; everything was absolutely perfect and went off without a hitch. Below are just a few of my favorite images from the day. Enjoy!

Final Thoughts
Photographing a wedding at the Essex House in New York City is always a reminder of why classic venues never go out of style. Between the timeless elegance of the space, the energy of Central Park just steps away, and the undeniable romance that fills the room, it was the perfect setting to tell this couple’s story. From quiet, emotional moments to a celebration that felt effortlessly chic, this wedding was a beautiful balance of intimacy and grandeur—and one I won’t soon forget. Weddings like this are why I love documenting love in NYC.
