A Classic Gatsby-Inspired Wedding at The Bowery Hotel with Lower East Side Bridal Portraits
New York City has a way of making every love story feel cinematic, and this wedding at The Bowery Hotel was no exception. With its old-world charm, vintage aesthetics, and moody candlelit ambiance, The Bowery Hotel set the perfect stage for a Gatsby-inspired wedding filled with elegance, romance, and timeless details.
Recently, I had the honor and pleasure of photographing the chic wedding of Ariel and Blake. Their entire wedding took place at the Lower East Side’s Bowery Hotel. From Ariel getting ready to the end of the evening, the entire event took place at this beautiful boutique hotel.

Ariel and Blake contacted me this past February through a friend referral. I was pretty much completely booked for 2013, however, when I met them, I knew this was one wedding I didn’t want to miss. Ariel and Blake are one of the coolest couples I’ve met in the past year; so fun and outgoing and willing to do and try anything. It makes my job as a photographer super easy. Thanks for sharing these precious memories.

A Love Story Told Through Classic Elegance
From the moment the bride stepped into her stunning beaded gown, reminiscent of the Roaring Twenties, to the groom’s tailored tuxedo with a classic black bow tie, every detail was meticulously curated to exude vintage glamour. The ceremony was intimate, with candlelight flickering off the rich brick walls, creating an atmosphere of warmth and romance. Lush floral arrangements with deep tones complemented the venue’s signature aesthetic, transporting guests to an era of opulence and grandeur.

The Reception: A Celebration of Style
The reception space at The Bowery Hotel was transformed into a speakeasy-inspired soirée, complete with art deco details, a jazz band setting the mood, and guests toasting under the glow of antique chandeliers. The couple’s first dance was a mesmerizing moment, as they swayed across the floor to a classic love song, lost in each other’s embrace.

Lower East Side Bridal Portraits: A Nighttime Love Story
After the celebration, we ventured into the heart of the Lower East Side for an evening bridal portrait session. With the city lights twinkling and the bustling energy of downtown Manhattan as our backdrop, we captured the couple in a beautifully unscripted way. The neon signs, cobblestone streets, and vintage architecture lent an edgy, yet romantic, contrast to their classic wedding attire. Each frame told a story of love, style, and the magic of New York at night.

The Perfect End to a Perfect Night at the Bowery Hotel Wedding
Finally, This wedding was a seamless blend of classic and modern, proving that New York City will always be the perfect place to tell a love story. From the timeless elegance of The Bowery Hotel to the electric energy of the Lower East Side, this wedding was nothing short of iconic. I am honored to have captured these unforgettable moments and to have witnessed such a beautiful beginning to their journey together.
