The Partnership at Drugfree All-Star Tasting – 2013 – Astor Center

The Partnership for Drugfree.org had their mouthwatering second annual all-star tasting at the Astor Center in Noho on June 26, 2013. The event began with a VIP reception with Top Chef: Just Desserts, Johnny Iuzzini demonstrating his delicious strawberry cake. He enlisted the help of 2 very eager audience members in creating his cake. There were many celebrity chefs with food stations from Pig & Prince, Les Halles, Sons of Essex, David Burke Townhouse, Public, Saxon + Parole, Catch, and The General. The standout favorites for me were the ceviche, the sausage stuffed clams, and the Berkshire pork sliders.
The All-Star chefs joined together to help support the critical work to help all kids live a life free of drug and alcohol abuse. The evening was complete with Former Knicks, John Wallace; international soccer star, Jozy Altidore; NBA star, Darryl ‘chocolate thunder’ Dawkins; and former NY Yankee, Ron Blomberg. The crowd had a blast hanging with their favorite sports celebrities. I am so proud to be apart of such a great organization. Here a few of my favorites from the event. Enjoy!
