A few weekends ago, I had the pleasure of shooting Ashley and Dan’s engagement photos. Even though they live in Philadelphia, they came to New York City for the weekend for a quick getaway. We had such a great time! We first started at the Empire Hotel, a chic boutique hotel in the heart of the Columbus Circle neighborhood. Then we headed to the Trump International Hotel and Tower which has the famous steel globe that stands proudly at the front of it. After that we entered NYC Central Park via the 59th and Broadway entrance and found some of my favorite spots and some new ones for their photos. We then headed to the Time Warner Center where Ashley and Dan did a quick outfit change and grabbed a quick bite at the famous Thomas Keller bakery, Bouchon Bakery, one of my favorites in the city. If you haven’t had the pleasure of trying their french macarons, especially the balsamic fig which is usually in season in the fall/winter, you are really missing out.
Following that, we went to the beautiful Revson fountain at the legendary Lincoln Center and Ashley and Dan were real troupers, even hanging in there when the fountain was splashing water all over and around them. (It was the finale of the fountain show when it reaches its most impressive height of 40 feet in the air and showers all those brave enough to sit around the fountain.)
After the fountain show, we ended our day at The Rooftop Bar and Lounge at the Empire Hotel. What a great day! Thanks Ashley and Dan for the great time! Really looking forward to your wedding next year!
Josh wong rocks! His work speaks for itself. If you are looking at this trying to decide whether or not he is your guy watch the video again. It is a great piece of art.
