I must say that I’ve traveled across the country photographing Grace and Kevin. From our initial meeting in San Francisco, then to the engagement photo session in San Antonio, TX, and ending with their gorgeous wedding at the Palm Events Center in Pleasanton California. Over 10,000 miles flown, but I would do it all again in a heartbeat. Grace and Kevin are an amazing and fun couple to be around. They make you happy when you are around them. Their carefree nature, hospitality, and generosity made this day unforgettable.  The day started early for both wedding parties who stayed at the Hyatt House. While everyone was still hanging around, having breakfast and goofing off, Grace was practicing her vows while her hair and makeup were still being done. Kevin on the other hand, well… seemed a bit antsy and was making sure everything was going according to schedule. When the afternoon finally rolled around, all the hair and makeup was done, all the bridal party gifts were handed out, and everyone headed to The Palm Events Center for the “first look”. This was also where the ceremony and the reception were to take place. The Palm is a luxurious winery estate. The estate room is wrapped with wine barrels from the floor to the ceiling and lit with several tea light grand chandeliers. Outside are breathtaking views of the vineyards and gently sloping foothills.  Perfect for sunset wedding photography. We also had our fun Fashion Studio Booth setup for Grace and Kevin as well. The San Francisco Bay Area will always have a special place in my heart. After all, it’s where I grew up. When Adriana and Eric approached me to see if I would like to fly back to the West Coast and photograph their wedding, my answer was a definite yes.

Adriana and Eric started their day out at the Courtyard by Marriott in San Ramon, California. The bride and her bridesmaids got ready in Suite 402. While the girls were getting all dolled up, the boys were hanging out and partying in Suite 202. Their celebration was complete with lots of booze, pizza, and hot wings. There were even a few overturned tables at the end but that is a story for another day…. The couple had prepared wedding gifts for each other and heartfelt letters/cards. They opened these gifts separately which was captured both on film and video.

When everyone was finally ready, they headed to the Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon. It was at this beautiful venue with the rolling hills and azure blue skies where the couple had their dream wedding out on the main lawn of the country club. No detail was forgotten. The bride and groom even provided white sunglasses for the ceremony. To make this day even more special, the bride’s brother officiated the ceremony. After the ceremony,  we did some really fun and epic bridal party photos while the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour. Then we all headed into the banquet hall and the happy couple partied the night away. The couple had an awesome photo booth, lots of dancing, and even sliders and mini pizzas at the end of the night. What a gorgeous day it was in San Ramon. Although the forecast predicted the slightest chance of rain, fortunately it never materialized. Congratulations Adriana and Eric! Here are a few of my favorite moments of the day!
