]]>I am a little late in posting these engagement photos but better late than never! The engagement session began on one of those New York winter days where the thermometer outside read 20 degrees. However, if you were out walking around instead of nicely tucked in your home, it felt like 3 degrees. You’d definitely need to put your hands together and give it up for Morgan and Brian and their adorable dog, Joey. They were troopers and braved the freezing cold weather and wind. We shot the engagement photos around the American Museum of Natural History, one of my favorite places in the City. Below are some of my favorites.

]]>With all the wintry snow we’ve been getting on the east coast, most couples will naturally tend to shy away from any pictures taking. I, on the other hand, absolutely love taking photos at this time because there is something magical that happens in the winter. It offers a very fun and playful time. Every single image seems to stands out and tells its own story. We may have rosy cheeks and noses, but hey! what better way to go out and enjoy a hot cappuccino. Lilian and Mathias wanted just that and it was so much fun hanging around them and being in their company. Most of our shoot was spent wandering around the Soho and the Lower East Side area. We found great little spots like the Elizabeth St Garden as well as A B Biagi to warm ourselves up. When it finally got too cold… we head indoors and found our way to Grand Central. Below are a few of my favorite images. Enjoy!
Did I mention how gorgeous Lilian’s coat and dress were. Both are by Azzedine Alaia.

]]>Rosa’s mom contacted me a few weeks ago to see if I could capture her future son-in-law, Rob proposing to her daughter, Rosa on their first trip to New York City! As Rosa’s mom shared with me, it was her and her husband’s greatest wish for their daughter to have photographs of this very special moment with her forever. Despite the winter snowstorm in NYC last week and many airline flights canceled, Rob and Rosa finally made it all the way from Toronto, Canada after a 2-day delay. With the recent snowfall, I suggested NYC Central Park in all its winter glory as the perfect backdrop for the big event. Rob selected the magnificent Bow Bridge which has been seen in such films as Manhattan, The Way We Were, and Keeping the Faith. The engagement proposal went off beautifully and I was able to get some really great shots of this wonderful occasion! Congratulations to Rosa and Rob and Happy New Year to all!

Lauren and James Engaged
Every year around Christmas time, Lauren and James like to come to New York City and take in the sights for the holidays. They enjoy visiting the Rockefeller Ice Rink, Radio City, FAO Schwartz, and they even ride in the Central Park horse carriages. This year, James had a little surprise in store for Lauren. Little did she know that James had contacted me earlier wanting to set up a shoot to document his marriage proposal to her at the Rockefeller Center Ice Rink. This time of year, there are huge crowds that want to go ice skating at the center but James had arranged to have everyone cleared off the ice rink when the clock struck 6:00pm. When the magic hour arrived, they had the entire rink all to themselves so he could propose to Lauren. For me, photographing marriage proposals are almost as special as the first look, or the first dance at a wedding. They elicit such great emotions and the surprise on the fiance’s face is priceless. Congratulations to Lauren and James on your engagement!
Below are some of my favorites of the evening. Enjoy!
