Each spring, the Pratt Institute Fashion Show is held to showcase the work of graduating seniors from the school’s Department of Fashion Design. This show is not only important for the future of fashion design, it gives the students a chance to shine and present their visions. The students also got a chance to talk to and meet Anna Wintour. This year, I was their house photographer for the show and the cocktail benefit that followed after. The show, which spanned several categories including sportswear, menswear, costume, evening, and bridal, had a special award ceremony honoring Hamish Bowles, the European Editor-at-Large for Vogue. While I still do my fair share of event and wedding photography, photographing a runway show with a different vision than the norm is always fun. Enjoy!
