Perched atop Pacific Heights, the James Leary Flood Mansion isn’t just a venue; it’s a time capsule of Gilded Age opulence. As a photographer, walking through those massive bronze doors feels like stepping into a masterpiece. Recently, I had the honor of capturing a wedding here that perfectly balanced the venue’s historic grandeur with the modern, vibrant energy of the couple.

Why Flood Mansion Shines

For couples looking for a venue that requires very little “extra” decor, the Flood Mansion is it. Its architecture is the decor. For me, it provided:

2. Character: Every corner tells a story, from the hand-painted murals to the intricate coffered ceilings.
3. Iconic Views: It captures the “soul” of San Francisco without the noise of the city streets.

Katina & Simon’s Wedding – Hope Evangelical Free Church

Back in San Francisco!

I was truly honored to be able to photograph Simon and Katina’s wedding. Simon is an old middle school and high school buddy of mine and I have been awaiting his wedding day for a long time! Simon and Katina are such a fun and easygoing couple. Taking pictures of them and their bridal party was something I will never forget. The day began as a perfect San Francisco day, it started a bit chilly but blossomed into a sunny, azure skyed afternoon. Their wedding ceremony took place at Hope Evangelical Free Church in San Francisco and the wedding celebration was at the Canton Seafood Restaurant, a popular seafood and dim sum restaurant in the Financial District of San Francisco. We also had the pleasure of visiting the Palace of Fine Arts following the wedding to shoot some pictures!
