Some weddings are timeless, blending modern elegance with classic romance, and the recent wedding I photographed at the Park Hyatt Hotel in New York City was precisely that—a contemporary love story wrapped in Manhattan’s charm.

The Morning Glow: Getting Ready at the Park Hyatt

The day began in the luxurious suites of the Park Hyatt, where the bride and groom prepared for their big day. The bride’s room was a vision of serene beauty, filled with soft natural light pouring in through the tall windows. Her sleek, modern gown complemented the chic urban backdrop, while her timeless pearls and vintage-inspired bouquet added a touch of tradition.

The groom, equally dapper, opted for a sharp black tuxedo with a modern cut that mirrored the city’s sophistication.

Timeless Portraits on the Manhattan Streets

After a beautiful ceremony and cocktail hour filled with modern floral arrangements and understated decor, it was time for one of my favorite parts of the day: bride and groom portraits. Stepping onto the bustling streets of Manhattan, the couple became a vision of timeless romance amid the city’s energetic vibe.

We strolled along Seventh Avenue, pausing to capture images against iconic NYC elements—a yellow taxi zipping past, the glassy reflection of skyscrapers, and the subtle texture of cobblestone crosswalks. These photos combined the timeless elegance of the couple with the urban charm of the city.

A Private Reception with Intimate Elegance

After the ceremony at the Park Hyatt, the celebration moved to a private residence. The reception was an intimate affair, with family and close friends coming together in a beautifully curated space. The decor was a seamless blend of modern elegance and personal touches: lush floral arrangements adorned the tables, and soft candlelight added warmth to the room’s contemporary design.

The speeches were heartfelt, laughter was abundant, and the dance floor was alive with joy.

Persian weddings are renowned for their rich cultural traditions, vibrant celebrations, and timeless elegance, and this celebration was no exception. Set against the backdrop of the grand architecture and luxury of the Lotte New York Palace, the event was nothing short of magical.

The Lotte New York Palace Hotel is an upscale Midtown Manhattan Luxury Landmark Hotel. When you combine elegant, chic, sexy, and high fashion together, you get Tina and Neema’s beautiful wedding.

A Palace Fit for Royalty

The Lotte New York Palace provided the perfect venue for this celebration. Its gilded interiors, sweeping staircases, and sparkling chandeliers mirrored the grandeur of the Persian wedding traditions. The outdoor courtyard served as a stunning location for family portraits, while the grand ballroom hosted the ceremony and reception in style.

The Persian Ceremony: A Celebration of Love and Tradition

The wedding featured a beautifully adorned Sofreh Aghd, the ceremonial spread central to Persian weddings. The Sofreh was an exquisite work of art, adorned with symbols of prosperity, health, and love, including a mirror, candlesticks, sugar cones, and intricate floral arrangements.

As the couple exchanged vows, their joy was mirrored by the light refracting off the crystal chandeliers above. The presence of loved ones, the music of the Persian santur, and the blessings of tradition made for an emotional and deeply personal ceremony.

A Night to Remember in the Grand Ballroom of the Lotte New York Palace

The reception transformed the ballroom into a celebration of Persian culture and modern sophistication. Guests were treated to a feast of Persian delicacies alongside an elaborate dance floor, where the couple’s first dance set the tone for an evening of celebration. The energy was electric, with traditional Baba Karam dances blending seamlessly with contemporary hits. The lighting design—golden hues that accented the regal décor—created an atmosphere of pure enchantment.

Conclusion
