Recently, I had the honor of capturing a truly magical wedding at the stunning Bourne Mansion. With its grand architecture and sweeping views of the Great South Bay, the mansion provided a fairytale setting for a celebration of love.

From the moment the couple exchanged their vows beneath the mansion’s majestic columns to the golden hour portraits that radiated pure romance, every detail of the day was unforgettable. The ballroom sparkled with elegance as family and friends danced the night away under the intricate chandeliers, their laughter echoing through the historic halls.

Today I photographed my first Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Wedding. Not only was it the first time I photographed one, it was my first time ever attending one as well. Mariann and Fady tied the knot at the St. Abraam Coptic Orthodox Church in Long Island and had their Dinner reception at the The Piermont in Long Island. A few weeks ago, I had the great pleasure of shooting Serena and Erik’s wedding at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York. They had their wedding in an English garden under a canopy of gorgeous white daisies, white baby’s breath, white chrysanthemums, and green foliage. Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests feasted and danced the afternoon away in an amazingly beautiful banquet hall with brilliant cascading crystal chandeliers. At the end of the celebration, the couple took a relaxing toe dip in the aqua-colored grand pool located at the center of the country club. Definitely a first for me! Congratulations to Serena and Erik!

The Riviera Waterfront Mansion
Crystal and Eric were married at the Community United Methodist Church in Massapequa, New York. Crystal was radiant in a gorgeous ivory silk organza gown with delicate lace appliqué from the world-famous Kleinfeld Bridal salon, ivory Italian Duchesse satin Filippa Scott open-toe stilettos, and sparkling cubic zirconia hair jewelry. She had one maid of honor whom she affectionately called “Bean” and 4 bridesmaids who all wore silky chocolate brown satin gowns, brown crystal drop necklaces, and red pashminas. The groomsmen wore matching chocolate brown satin vests and ties.
Following the ceremony, the couple held their wedding celebration at the spectacular Riviera Waterfront Mansion which is surrounded by immaculately manicured gardens with the pristine waters of the Great South Bay as a backdrop. The banquet hall was decorated with stunning red roses and ‘Lady in Red hydrangeas. Their cake was a 4-layer carrot cake with an ivory fondant, a chocolate brown satin ribbon, and piped frosting pearls on each tier. It was delicious! The wedding favors were green Donate Life awareness bracelets from the National Kidney Foundation which were nestled in small chocolate brown gift boxes tied with brown satin ribbons. I had such a blast that day with Crystal and Eric, they are such an amazing couple and it was evident that they are much loved by their friends and families.

After weeks of wet, muggy rain, the happy couple, Farrah and Francisco woke to a gorgeous, sun-kissed, azure-skyed wedding day on Sunday. And what a glorious, emotional, kick-ass wedding it was! First off, I was super-excited that my amazing wife was able to cover this fun day with me. The day began at Farrah’s family home in Fresh Meadows, New York where Farrah dressed in her wedding finery. She wore a romantic, ivory satin ballgown with delicate lace trimming, an antique ivory lace veil, creamy ivory satin shoes which she had so diligently broken in for weeks, and dazzling platinum and diamond earrings. Then we dashed off to Francisco’s house, a mere 3 blocks away, to capture the groom and his bridal party in action. We found the groom on the second floor, dressed in a stylish, black tuxedo that suited his muscular, 6-foot frame perfectly. Francisco was the absolute picture of calm as he kicked back with his groomsmen and ring bearer.
As the ceremony time quickly approached, a shiny, 10-passenger limo arrived to whisk Francisco and his family to church. The wedding was held at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Fresh Meadows, New York. Following the mass, Farrah and Francisco quickly posed for family and bridal photos and then we headed for the The Mansion at Oyster Bay on the Oyster Bay Golf Course in Woodbury, New York. What a gorgeous venue this was, with the long, winding drive framed with tall, elegant, draping spruce trees that led to a circular driveway with a lovely fountain that was encircled with dainty, coral-red poppy flowers. The historic and stately mansion was like a sparkling jewel nestled on 120 acres of what the original owners called the “woodlands”. Farrah and Francisco arrived like royalty in a magnificent white Rolls Royce. They and their closest loved ones celebrated and danced the night away in the mansion’s wood-paneled, gold damask curtained, crystal chandelier-lit ballroom.
