Lincoln Center Engagement Pictures with Jade and Peter were a blast! A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Jade & Peter’s engagement photos. They decided to go with NYC’s Central Park as their first location and Lincoln Center for the 2nd location to finish our evening shots. The couple is having a destination wedding in Playa del Carmen, Mexico next week and I can’t wait! So stay tuned! Today I has the pleasure of meeting up with Johanna and Gerwin to take their engagement pictures in Central Park. As much as I shoot there, the park is absolutely gorgeous during the fall season so I never get tired of photographing there. The turning of the leaves and the beautiful autumn colors is unrivaled anywhere else. Their wedding however will not be in New York City but will take place in Austria next year. I can’t wait. There’s always something special about New York City Weddings. And there’s something even more timeless and classic about having a wedding at the famous Loeb Central Park Boathouse. As the backdrop to hundreds of movies, Jenny and Ken tied the knot at this gorgeous venue complete with a nautical themed wedding.
The groom wore a navy blue sport coat with khaki slacks and Ralph Lauren white and navy deck shoes. His groomsmen wore navy and yellow Ralph Lauren polos with matching Ralph Lauren deck shoes. Even the bridesmaids wore Milly for Sperry platformed deck heels which complemented their buttercup yellow dresses beautifully. The day included the “first look” on Bow Bridge, a Venetian Gondola tour around the lake, and even a caricaturist during the cocktail reception. This was definitely a wedding to remember! Congratulations to Jenny and Ken, thanks for sharing your special day with us!

Ryan contacted me about a month ago asking me to see if I was open to capturing the moment of him proposing to his girlfriend Heather. Of course! I always love getting my ninja on. So we planned on when and how it was going to happen. The plan was to come to the City, stroll around Central Park, propose on Bow Bridge and then get whisked away in a stretch limo that would have been waiting for them at the famous Plaza Hotel. Well, when the day finally approached, a little hurricane called “Irene” came to town and kind of nixed all of the plans. The entire city was practically locked down. Oh well! What can you do. Thankfully, we were able to reschedule but Ryan wasn’t able to hold the proposal. He proposed anyway before they made it to New York City. So what started as a marriage proposal turned into an engagement photo shoot. But Hey! I still had a blast! Congrats to Heather & Ryan! Looking forward to the wedding!

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of shooting Serena and Alan’s engagement photos. Central Park looked amazing with the changing of the leaves – gorgeous buttercup yellows, tangerine oranges, emerald and spearmint greens with just the touch of red. It was truly a sight to behold. We even got The Dakota just peaking out on top of the trees as a backdrop. After the park, we went to Times Square which was busy as usual and getting ready for the holiday season. Thanks for the great day Serena and Alan! Here are some of my favorite images of the day!

Jasminka & Jim – Central Park Engagement Photos – New York City

This morning I flew back to New York City from a weekend of photo shoots on the West Coast. I got off the plane and went straight to an engagement session at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park. Thank God for my cousin-in-law Myra who was able to help me out for the photo shoot that day! We had a great day with Jim and Jasminka who definitely had enough energy for all of us. The images turned out awesome!

Photo Day in New York City
Liz & Vance

Coming to New York City for the first time can be quite exciting! All the cool things you are going to do, all the amazing places you will visit, and all the delicious foods you’re going to try… Vance, a good friend of mine was back home in Connecticut visiting family with his girlfriend, Liz. Although Vance had been to NYC many times, it was Liz’s first time. I had the awesome opportunity to show Vance and Liz some of my favorite spots in the City. The day started at the Natural Museum of History, and then we proceeded to Bethesda Terrace and other notable sites in Central Park. Then we made our way to glamorous 5th avenue for some shopping and the famous Burger Joint for an early dinner. The line was long but boy was it worth it! After dinner we made our way to Times Square where we met up with my beautiful wife and got to take in the sights. What a day! It was such a blast to hang out with Vance and Liz! Here are some pictures of our adventures!
