A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing the 25th Anniversary of The Partnership at Drugfree.org. They held their annual Gala at the Waldorf Astoria’s Grand Ballroom. Performing for them was the emerging young, beautiful and talented country singer songwriter Hannah Michelle Weeks. While backstage, I sat with her and her band just enjoying the evening before they hit the stage. Enjoy!

Today, I got to photograph Victoria Secret Angels Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge, Lindsay Ellingson and Erin Heatherton. As always, they are so much fun to work with and to just hang around with. The VS Angels teamed up with Soul Cycle in TriBeca for an inspirational indoor cycling ride to benefit Pelotonia, an annual grassroots bike tour that raises funds for cancer research. Sponsors and donors were treated with a ride-along with the angels and the opportunity for a photo with their favorite angel. The benefit raised just over $200K. Great Job! Each spring, the Pratt Institute Fashion Show is held to showcase the work of graduating seniors from the school’s Department of Fashion Design. This show is not only important for the future of fashion design, it gives the students a chance to shine and present their visions. The students also got a chance to talk to and meet Anna Wintour. This year, I was their house photographer for the show and the cocktail benefit that followed after. The show, which spanned several categories including sportswear, menswear, costume, evening, and bridal, had a special award ceremony honoring Hamish Bowles, the European Editor-at-Large for Vogue. While I still do my fair share of event and wedding photography, photographing a runway show with a different vision than the norm is always fun. Enjoy!

The Supper Club – New York City
These past couple months and before my busy wedding photography season gets underway, I’ve been shooting almost exclusively for The Supper Club, New York City Chapter. The Supper Club is a members-only organization founded by British entrepreneur Tamsin Lonsdale. The club has chapters across the globe including Los Angeles, London, and here in New York City. They generally hold up to 10 events or gatherings a month at the hottest restaurants, secret watering holes, gorgeous residencies, and the least likely places. Their members are charismatic, well connected, and come from all walks of life. Since I’ve been shooting at their events I have become friends with many of them. Below are some highlights of the places I’ve been to, people I’ve met, foods and drinks I’ve tried, and architecture I’ve seen from the past few months.

Today I was invited to cover an event paying tribute to one of America’s most amazing actors, Susan Sarandon. She has had one of the most diverse acting careers in modern cinema. Today, BAMcinematek celebrates this iconic actress with a series some of her greatest and biggest hits. Showing today was John Turturro’s Romance & Cigarettes climaxing with a Q&A with the actress herself along side with John Turturro.

Today I had the pleasure of being the photographer for North Shore Animal League America. The event was held at Pacha NYC, their 5th year aniversary, and was hosted by Beth Ostrosky Stern. Beth Ostrosky Stern, a television personality and wife of Howard Stern, is the current spokeswoman for North Shore Animal League America. The NSALA provides rescue and adoption services to pets around the country.

Tonight, I had the exclusive privilege to be the photographer for Autism Speaks to Young Professionals (AS2YP) – Summer Event 2010 at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The summer event took place after the market closed on the NYSE trading floor. Everyone who attended got treated with with great music, delicious food, awesome drinks and fun times to meet new friends. Their second annual event raised over $75,000 for Autism Speaks. Visit AS2YP’s blog for a more details and to support this important cause. Below is a short montage and a few on my favorite images of the night.

Today, I was the photographer for the THANC Foundation (Thyroid, Head and Neck Cancer Foundation) 8th Invitational Golf Tournament at the Glen Oaks Country Club. The tournament was an event to raise funds their continued support in research and education in the early detection and treatment of thyroid and head and neck cancer, in advancing new therapies, and to alleviating the suffering and functional impairment of patients who undergo treatment.
It was a great event with patients sharing their touching live stories. With over 300 in attendance, through donations, sponsors, and auctions, THANC Foundation was able to raise over $550,000 dollars. What a feat. Enjoy!
